“And I’ll lick your hand and make you move it away, so there.” She smirked, poking her tongue out. She suddenly didn’t feel so scared anymore. This was it, and she was just going to accept it. At least now they wouldn’t have to be afraid of A, and they could be up there looking out for whoever the monster tried to take as it’s next victim. Charlotte could feel her eyes getting teary as she wrote up more of the texts. Honestly, Ian’s was the hardest. He was her best friend, and they had that ‘you jump, I jump’ thing going on. He’d probably hate her for this, but he’d get over it eventually. The worst case scenario would be him joining her, but that wouldn’t be all that bad anyways. Charlotte finished up the last text just as Eva stepped out of the car, so slipping her phone in to her pocket, Charlotte took hold of her sister’s hand, then started walking over to the edge. It was a pretty long way down, so after her first glance, she decided not to do it again. Instead, she just kept tightly hold of her sister’s hand as she stepped up on to the railing, helping Eva up with her. She was shaking by this point. Through fear mostly, but the breeze blowing around them gave her a good excuse. “It’s really cold up here, huh?” She laughed nervously, looking at her sister. Taking a deep breath, she decided it was now or never. If she wasted anymore time, she wouldn’t go through with it. “Hey, I love you, okay? And I guess I’ll see you at the other side. But don’t let go of my hand.” She demanded, squeezing tightly on to her sister’s hand, before closing her eyes, then taking that final step off the edge. Then, it was all over.
Eva made a disgusted face as she looked over at Char. “You’re gross. But if you yell at God, I’ll tell Jackson on you and he’ll whoop you.” She knew that wasn’t gonna happen, mostly because she didn’t like him and Char would’ve laughed at him. Doing this alone would have taken forever, and she would have been scared. But leave it to Charlotte to make her laugh and forget that they were literally killing themselves. She turned her phone off before stuffing it in her back pocket. Someone would get either her email or Char’s text and attempt to stop them, so she needed to put a stop to that now. She should have sent one to A, letting the bitch know that once she got to heaven she’d figure out who she was, and then find a way to send signals to everyone in Lima so they’d know too. Eva let Char lead the way and trailed behind her, taking a few shorts breaths. She saw her sister look down and decided she wasn’t going to look. Just get up there and jump! That was the easiest way out. She waited for Char to start climbing up before she did too, clinging to her sister’s hand. She ignored the shaking and just closed her eyes. “Don’t think about that, just picture seeing Amber.” Or at least that’s what Eva was doing. She opened her eyes back up and looked over at Char when she said her final words. “I love you too, little red. Don’t worry. We’re in this together.” She quickly shut her eyes again and followed her sister’s movement, stepping off of the edge as they fell. They did it together, and that was that.
